Introducing the

Quiet Mind Program

3 Rivers Counselling is proud to be one of the few certified SSP providers offering virtual support across Canada and internationally. Our Quiet Mind program makes the Safe and Sound Protocol accessible to clients around the globe, with guidance from experienced, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming therapists. Whether you're in North America, Europe, or beyond, our team can help you experience the nervous system support and emotional regulation benefits of SSP—wherever you are.

What is the SSP?

SSP isn’t just about managing symptoms—it’s about enhancing your overall well-being. It can accelerate your healing, making it easier to move through daily challenges with more ease and confidence.

Polyvagal Theory:
The Science of Feeling Safe

Developed by world-renowned researcher and Unyte’s Chief Scientific Advisor, Dr. Stephen Porges, Polyvagal Theory focuses on what is happening in the body and the nervous system, and explains how our sense of safety, danger or life-threat can impact our behavior.

Understanding Polyvagal Theory gives us a scientific framework that can be applied through physiological, or “bottom-up” therapies, to help change and improve how we feel, think and connect with others.

Why Choose SSP with 3 Rivers Counselling?

We deliver the SSP as part of a tailored and supported therapeutic program delivered by Polyvagal informed Licensed therapists.

Choosing 3 Rivers Counselling for the Safe and Sound Protocol means choosing more than just listening therapy. You are choosing a team with a wealth of experience in education, the school system, trauma-informed practices, EMDR, somatic therapy and family coaching.

We will work with you to develop a personalized menu of nervous system regulating exercises and help you feel confident in your unique listening plan.

At 3 Rivers Counselling we offer the SSP on it's own and in conjunction with EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches to support you along your therapeutic path.
