Meet Kara
Kara is a Licensed Counselling Therapist–Candidate (LCT-C) with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick, and she brings a genuinely distinctive combination of backgrounds to her clinical work. As a former educator and educational leader, she has spent years understanding how people learn, grow, and get stuck — and that foundation shapes how she supports clients of all ages today.
She works with children and adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, emotional challenges, and personal growth. Kara's approach is warm and client-centred, grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused methods, while remaining responsive and flexible to what each person actually needs. She focuses on building practical tools clients can use between sessions, while also making space to explore the deeper patterns shaping their current experience.
Kara understands that reaching out for support takes courage, and she works to make that first step feel as manageable as possible — creating an environment where clients can move at their own pace and feel genuinely comfortable from the start.
New clients are welcome to book a free 15-minute consultation to see if working together feels like a good fit.
