Cara Cole
Cara Cole, a Licensed Counselling Therapist Candidate, is a strengths-based wholistic practitioner whose areas of focus include self-exploration, creativity, and embodiment. She brings her experience working with families and youth through her time as a school counsellor to her work with youth, adults and couples.
As a certified yoga teacher, Cara integrates breathwork and physical movements to assist clients to nurture their connection to their body and reconnect to the truth within. Recognizing that spiraling thoughts and self-judgements often compound our suffering, Cara draws on the work of Dr. Tara Brach to support clients to learn and integrate mindfulness and self compassion into their daily lives.
With a background in creative arts, Cara offers the tools and processes of drawing and painting into the therapeutic setting- allowing clients to explore and process past experiences and present feelings in their path of personal understanding and growth.
As a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association’s Spirituality in Counselling Chapter, Cara acknowledges the crucial role that spirituality can play in our mental and emotional wellbeing. Should this be an important aspect of your life, she can walk alongside you as you navigate your inner terrain and find meaning in life's challenges.
